Founded in 1977, Woodburner began as a small store on Hazelglen Drive, Kitchener. It started by primarily supplying, installing and servicing wood stoves, fireplaces and inserts for Waterloo Region, Guelph, Elora, Fergus, Elmira and New Hamburg. Over the next decade, the company branched into multiple stores and expanded its offerings to gas fireplaces, barbeques, and patio furniture.

o In 1987, Woodburner expanded its product line to include a comprehensive selection of barbeques.

o In 1989, Woodburner moved to its current Kitchener location at 396 Victoria St. N.

o In 1993, the current owner bought the Kitchener location based on his desire to return to his entrepreneurial roots, this after a successful corporate career in purchasing and management.

Since then, Woodburner has continually expanded its product offerings beyond wood, gas, and electric fireplaces, to include outdoor barbeques, firepits, and a full range of patio furniture. They have always strived to provide the best combination of value and quality…priced right for its customers.

In 2012, the Woodburner family celebrated their 35th anniversary.
