Local author Dwayne Buhler has published books under his independent label, LUKEFIVETEN Publishing.

Buhler’s Christmas storybook,  ’Twas the Night: A Christmas Collection, is a family-friendly and faith-based collection of 13 short stories that take place in different countries around the world.

The book includes the story Christmas Comes to Schneider’s House. Set in 1816, the story includes a fictional conversation between Joseph Schneider and Pastor George Erb, as they discuss how Christmas can be celebrated with the influx of Scottish and English settlers that have come into the Waterloo Region.
