⚠️Do you sit on your wallet?!⚠️
• Although your pocket is a convenient location for tossing your wallet and other items, it can cause some serious back pain when sat on!
• When you sit on your wallet, your pelvis tilts up on the side of the wallet. This causes the curvatures of your back to bend and counteract the pelvic tilt.
• Sitting on your wallet can also put excess stress on a muscle in your glute called the piriformis. The sciatic nerve runs through this muscle and can get irritated. This may lead to sciatica.
• Some tips would be to remove all the bulky items from your wallet if it has to be in your pocket, and to avoid carrying it in your pocket as possible!
