Hi! My name is Dave Fox...

...and I've been teaching music for the past 8 years, including 5 years at Beyond the Clef Music School in Hespeler.

I've also played in a number of rock bands in the past 15 years, including Yim Tin Tam, Childebeast, and Lazu Lie.

In addition to playing actively, I'm one of the partners behind Fauxtown Records, an indie DIY record label that supports local independent artists, so I have experience in recording, production and marketing.

Music Lessons for Kids & Adults

I currently teach out of the beautiful Kaufman Arts Studio in downtown Kitchener, located near the intersection of Queen St. and Charles St. I also do housecalls, if you prefer!

I specialize in electric guitar, acoustic guitar, bass guitar, drumkit, composition/songwriting, and home recording. 

My schedule is determined by appointment, but I usually teach half hour to one hour lessons, and students can either pay per lesson or in groups of twelve, to secure a weekly spot with me.

Lessons are year round, but there are breaks for Christmas and March Break and a few other times during the year.

I am flexible with cancellations, provided I get some notice. With some notice, we just move your lesson to the following week.

Lessons focus on areas of interest for the student, and I am quite knowledgeable with most genres of music, and teach all ages and all skill levels.

My ultimate goal with teaching music is for the student to enjoy themselves and tap into their own creativity, while also learning all about their chosen instrument.
