Pâte de Verre: A Delicate Edge by Shay Salehi is our FUSE exhibition from August 31 to October 8, 2017

FUSE is an ongoing initiative of the Gallery Shop at The Clay & Glass.The FUSE series features selected works for sale, created by Gallery Shop artists and special guests.

The Clay & Glass will be hosting a “Birch Bark and Quill” workshop. Participants will have the opportunity to create a design using porcupine quills on birch bark. This technique is unique to the Indigenous of North America. Artist Rebecca Baird will lead the workshop and will have samples of different designs, but participants are welcome to bring their own designs. Beginners Beading with Emma Smith Clay and Glass Gallery 25 Caroline St. N Waterloo Wed June 28th from 6pm - 9pm Beads have always been an important aspect of Indigenous culture, they represented our connection to Mother Earth as they were made up of materials that came from her. Rocks, bones, and shells were often hand carved, an art form in itself, into beads to adorn clothing.
